Candidate Guidance Committee
The basic responsibility of the Candidate Guidance Committee is to assist or guide candidates of The CCIM Institute through the entire candidacy process.
►Informing people who have taken CI courses and are involved in the chapter about the procedures of becoming a candidate.
► Assisting candidates through the process of obtaining the CCIM Designation.
►Sponsoring portfolio workshops prior to each deadline; this should include follow-up with candidates preparing portfolios.
► Helping candidates study for the comprehensive exam.
Education and Scholarship Committee
Education: Responsible for the administration and successful enrollment of courses offered by the chapter. Supports candidacy and designation of all Chapter Members. Requires coordinating marketing efforts for courses and managing instructors, venues, contracts with the CCIM Institute. Recommends to the board courses to be offered and dates for the following calendar year. Schedules instructors and organizes CCIM Course Schedule for the following calendar year. Monthly reports at board meetings to include the number of students committed to upcoming classes and the dates of such courses.
Scholarship: Works with the Education Committee. Stays apprised of all available CCIM scholarships offered by the CCIM Institute and other local scholarship opportunities. Advertises the availability to all applicable prospects locally/regionally. Recommends the best applicant to the board for approval. Coordinates the payment of scholarships and recognition of the recipient. Quarterly reports at monthly board meetings on available scholarships, qualifications and number of applications received.
Designation Promotion Committee
This committee's purpose is to serve as the Chapter's public relations to increase the public’s awareness of the Chapter's goals, programs, membership, and to promote the CCIM Designation.
Legends of CRE Committee
Identifies and nominates candidates for the Board of Directors to vote as a "legend" in the Greater El Paso Commercial Real Estate industry. Legends mirror the mission shared by the Greater El Paso CCIM Chapter and the CCIM Institute by elevating the commercial real estate industry, strengthening futures, and empowering community in El Paso.
Membership & Partnership Committee
Generates new Members & Partners, renews existing Members and Partners through events and marketing utilizing a budget set by the board for that calendar year. Member benefits must consistently be reevaluated and communicated with our Members and Non-Members. Actively develops strategies to promote local Chapter Membership to the commercial real estate community. Reports at monthly board meetings the current number of members, upcoming events or marketing efforts.
University Alliance Committee
Luncheon Committee
Responsible for soliciting speakers with the latest updates, knowledge and best practices relevant and impactful to our region's commercial real estate industry. Manages and coordinates all logistics for the event.
Deal Making Committee
Supports CRE partners with Member tours of their commercial real estate product (industrial, retail, hospitality, etc.) fostering the exchange of the latest knowledge, best practices, "haves" and "needs".
Cinco De Mayo Committee
Plans and coordinates the annual Cinco de Mayo Networking Event designed to draw professionals across multiple specializations in commercial real estate - banks, title companies, attorneys, architecture, construction and more - while raising funds for the Chapter's scholarship and designation efforts.
Casino Night Committee
Responsible for planning and coordinating the Chapter's annual Casino Night event. This event offers a unique opportunity for Members to network with one another and provide Chapter Partners and Event Sponsors a platform to showcase their services and commercial properties to a blended audience of CRE industry professionals, as well as owners/occupants, investors and developers.
Member Holiday Cheer Committee
Plans and coordinates the annual Holiday Cheer Event in appreciation of our Chapter Members' support throughout the year!
